2026-09-28

  • Two new webhooks: template.category_changing warns you before Meta changes a template's category, and template.category_changed confirms it, including a change Meta makes during review. template.status_changed now carries category. A template moved to marketing is refused at send straight away, with a clearer template_category_not_allowed message.
  • Messages can now send your authentication templates with your own code in variables["1"], for when you run your own OTP logic instead of Verify. Copy-code templates only.
  • Templates lists authentication templates too, and takes a new category filter (UTILITY or AUTHENTICATION).
  • TypeScript and Python SDKs v0.1.1, Java SDK v0.1.2 — add category to templates.list and listAll. See Versioning.

  • Java SDK v0.1.1 — lowers the required JDK from 25 to 17, so the jar builds and runs on any LTS still in wide use (17, 21, 25). See Versioning.
